Its been years since I bought it but there is some specifically designed for sandboxes at Lowes and Home Depot. Just walk in and have one of the workers there point it out. Depending on the size of your box you will need to buy a couple of bags. Ours was that green turtle by playskool you always see and I think it took 4 bags - it was pretty cheap if I remember correctly. But it is the type of sand that sticks together well when they put in cups for castles, extra, but isn't fine enough that it will blow and get into their eyes and stuff.
