What are promotional gift ideas for kids?

I need gift ideas for an 8 year old girl. What's hot for kids this age this year?

    8 year old girls are starting to get into reading and still play with dolls a bit. You could get her a MyScene doll, Bratz or a Barbie complete with accessories. Or, if she is into books, a book in the Great Illustrated Classics series may be a good option. Also, DVDs are always a good choice.

I have a 9 year old daughter, so this is a few things she is interested in...BRATS dolls, hair accessories, Mary-Kate and Ashely clothes, Cheeta Girls (Disney channel) movies or cd's. Hope this helps!!
