Plastic playing cards vs regular playing cards?

  • Hello, i got 2 decks of plastic playing cards ( i did not know they were plastic before i got them) , so are plastic playing cards better than regular cards or worse , can you please make a list of pros and cons

    The main point to remember is plastic is waterproof, they'll probably last a little longer under normal wear. Paper is generally cheaper and the types of decks are plentiful.

Plastic cards are lighter and may last longer, plus it doesn't hurt that they won't soak up liquids during a drinking game. :) The decks can be harder to shuffle, true. Also, there is the possibility that the corners will start to chip off over time. After several games of Egyptian Ratscrew, where we were slamming our hands on the cards, they began to show a lot of wear and tear. Paper cards simply aren't as brittle and will last longer, I believe.
