Flying with a 2-year-old?

In magic the gathering, when a creature attacks causing a target to gain flying until the end of the turn...?

  • How does this work? The creature is a Chasm Drake it is flying and says "Whenever Chasm Drake attaks, target creature you control gains flying until end of turn" Does this mean I can attack with the chasm drake and a non-flying until and then the non-flying unit becomes flying and cannot be blocked by anything without flying or reach?

  • Answer:

When Chasm Drake attacks, a non-flying creature (or a flying one, but that won't do anything) will have flying until the end of your turn, meaning that creature also can't be blocked by a creature unless it has flying or reach.

Yes. Let's say you attack with Chasm Drake and Azure Mage. You attack with Chasm Drake and Azure Mage. Although the Mage didn't have flying before the combat phase, by the blocking phase, Azure Mage will have flying.

chasm drake is a land creature so the opponent can attack chasm drake.. but when chasm drake attack it became flying attack, not all creatures can block flying attack so this is an advantage for you..
