Why make Yu Gi Oh! cards and then ban them?

Konami does it in an attempt to make the game more fun and fair. For example, if everyone had access to 3 Dark Strike Fighters, then the game wouldn't be fun. So they limit/restrict/ban cards to make the game more balanced. It doesn't seem logical at first. But if you play in the tournaments it will. If you play in casual then you can disregard the ban/restict/limit lists as long as its okay with your opponent. However, most people use the Traditional Format for casual play, which does not have banned cards, but does have restricted ones.

Because when yugioh cards are made they are really good. in the future they make more cards wich leads up to more combos. after making more cards people will find better combos to do with older cards and newer cards. if they find combos that are too good and just plain cheap, they will ban it so they can keep it clean.

Because they never thought out through what cards will combo with other cards for potential FTK or OTK or Locks. We Duelists are just really smart for figuring out those things.
