Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Question: Can Judgment of Anubus Stop Solemn Judgment If the conditions we right?

  • For those who know of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, i was wondering if the card Judgment of Anubus can be chained to negate and destroy a solemn judgment that was activated to stop a magic or trap card.

    No, for 2 reasons. Reason 1 Judgement of Anubis can only negate Spells and Soelmn Judgement is Trap Card. Reason 2 Acording to YGO TCG rules Solemn Judgement is spell speed lvl 3 and is on list of magic cards that cant be negated!

Ok here is the full explanation, Solemn Judgment is a counter trap, which has the highest spell speed, and can only be negated by another counter trap. Judgment of anubis is a trap that negates a SPELL(not trap card) card that destroys other spell and traps. Solemn judgment is not a spell card, so therefore judgment of anubis CANNOT negate it. it could if solemn was a spell card but it cant. Its a counter trap meaning it has speed to counter solemn judgement but its effect only works on spells
