Card Trick Help Please?

• Alright, im new to this. but heres my trick im having trouble with. randomly shuffle deck pick up the two top cards, making it look like one card show them the "card" and put the cards back on top then take the first real card and make them think it was the one they saw and put it in the deck say a magic line slap the deck and pull up the card . now the trouble comes in with my uncoordinated hands. when i pick up the top two, wether it be slowly or quickly. it usually slides around and the back card is visible. any ideas on what to do? im frustrated :[

  yea your problem is double lifting. the way to correct this is your hand positioning. your most likely handling the deck incorrectly. try using a classic mechanics grip, this helps your hand contact the deck so things stay together. also when you execute the double lift make sure you have a firm hold of both cards and not to slide your fingers taht are contacting the cards, loose grip and mispositioning will cause cards to slide.
