HOw do I learn new magic in skyrim?

  • I have only used flames and healing and shouts, how do I learn ice spells and alteration magic, destruction magic, restoration magic etc? Be specific please! I'm already in the college of winterhold, if that helps.

    If you find a Spell Tome that you haven't found yet and read it you'll learn that Spell. You can only learn each one once so if you find a Tome for a spell you already know feel free to sell it and make some gold. Tomes can be found in some dungeons, sometimes they are also quest rewards. All the mages at the College who can train you in a Skill will carry the Tomes for that skill (ie, the Destruction trainer sells Tomes for Destruction Spells, the Restoration teacher for Resoration spells, etc) and you can get general tomes from the mages in the Jarls halls. To get the Master level spells you must have that skill up to at least 90 and talk to the mage at the College who specializes in that Skill. They'll give you a quest and reward you with 1 of the Master Spells upon completion. After that you can buy the other Master spells from them.

If you keep with the main story line you should find a mages hall. U can also buy spells from court wizards in the jarl,s court. Witch u just explained in your question sorry for the repeat don't bit my head off. Just go to different towns and find the wizards in the courts. They have some awesome spells. Good luck in the Nordic country of Skyrim
