Have i been charged on itunes using a gift card?

Recently, i purchased an album off of itunes using a gift card. Then the next day i got an email from the itunes store stated your receipt and also on the right side of my email it says billed to store credit. That means i havent been charged right?? I dont really know because this is my first time using iTunes.

store credit = gift card. When you make a purchase, you get charged, and you get a receipt. It'll tell you how it's paying for it, be it store credit (gift cards, etc) or credit card or whatever. So yes, of course you got charged, but it took it out of your gift card. Your credit card wasn't charged at all.
