I used to play chess quite regular at a club but never at any great level so i am looking for something that has a really beginner level to hard with lots in between. I also heard that some of the screens were difficult to see the pices

I have researched all the touch screen chess options and this is your best bet! This way, the display is customizable. You can choose everything from the size of the board, the colors of the squares and pieces and even the styles of the pieces in some cases. You can test chess programs before you buy them which is great! (All of Palmgear's chess programs offer a free trial so you can try before you buy.) The Palm Z22 is different from their other models in that if you happen to allow the rechargable battery to run out, your software is still retained in the unit so you don't have to reload it from your computer.
