How to implement a relative timer in a game?

I want you guys to fix your chess game timer. i'm losing ratings and its not fair. opponent no time left & win

  • obviously this is not a question. i set a timer and time runs out for opponent. but yet, still they can play without losing ratings. in fact, most of them win the game and make me lose ratings. which is very unfair!!! because they had more time to think about their moves before they make them. I SET TIMERS BECAUSE OPPONENTS TAKE TOO LONG TO MOVE AND SOME, LEAVE THE GAME AFTER REALIZING THEY HAVE NO CHANCE TO WIN.. so please.... fix the timer..

The only choice is to play untimed games then, but maybe you don't get a rating that way. I know that in FIDE all games are timed. I have no idea why the timers would run out for your opponent and they still can go on. What site are you playing on? Maybe look for a better site.

make increment = zero and you won't have that problem
