Which board game should we buy from christmas?

  • I was going over my christmas wish list when I realized something was missing, a board game! For the past few years, we've gotten a new board game every year, last year it was: "Are you smarter than a 5th grader", the year before: "The game of life: twists and turns", the year before: "scene it". What board game should we get this year? We're not looking for classic games, we want a new game or a new twist to an old game. We are 47, 18, 14 and 12 so we need something that applies to all of us.

cranium family addition, there are 4 categories, some of the question ones might be a little hard for kids, but there is a charades category and a drawing category. it's lots of fun we play with our 6 and 11 year old. we also like phase 10 its a card game with 10 phases, like 2 sets of 4, 7 cards one color, run of 8 both are big hits with family and friends

Imagine If is an awesome game that gets everyone involved. For 3-8 players, ages 10 and up! The game is simple but tones of fun. I bought this one at Wal-mart Loaded Questions is another of my family's favorites. This game will keep you laughing the entire time. For 3-6 players but we always have more than that! I would definitely think about buying this one!! Im 21 my brothers are 24 and 19, my sister is 15 and my parents are 50 and 47 and we all love playing this game!! This one I got at Boscovs. When me and my brothers and sisters get together we usually play Sequence! Its a strategy game that can be soooo addictive. Its a team game and its for 4-6 players. Anyone can play! You'd probably be able to find this at Toys R Us or a K-Mart!

Taboo might work. It is good for those ages. Also consider mancala (only two players though), and the travel versions of scrabble (scrabble scramble) and the quick version of scattergories. There is also a game called Barricade, which is excellent, but hard to find. I have to get mine on ebay.

well, these are card games, but they're great games - apples to apples and dutch blitz (if you haven't tried dutch blitz, it's a must!)
