Old mystery board game?

  • When I was little, I had a board game that I really liked to play. It was a mystery game (I THINK) and it had a magnifying glass. IT WAS NOT CLUE! I already checked and it was NOT. It had those little slot things to put cards but it wasn't guess who. The board wasn't extravagantly colored and it had quite a few pieces with it and if I remember correctly, a manila envelope. It's bugging me and I won't be able to rest until I figure it out.

    I hate to contradict you, but are you sure it isn't "Clue Mysteries," a spinoff game that has little to do with the original game? Or perhaps Mysteries of old Peking, the game that Clue Mysteries was based on?
