Where to buy warhammer key?

Confused on what warhammer to buy?

  • Hey, i used to to Warhammer and Warhammer 40k a while back, and i want to get back in. My warhammer army was Empire and my 40k army was Tau+Kroot, as ive heard the Kroot are dis continued? i dont want to carry them on. i was thinking of trying out the vampire counts, or wood elves but im not sure. could some nice person, kinda give me an over view of the armies of Warhammer. NOT 40K! as im not really into them anymore. thankyou :)

    I suggest www.dakkadakka.com and do forum a search. I do not suggest the games-workshop website. They blow... they are more about hocking their latest releases. Their articles are terrible and very uninformative, you bring an army the GW suggests. You are going to get creamed.

Games Workshop themselves would be the best place to start for basic info. Go to the main site (see address below), move the cursor over "Warhammer" in the corner, move down to "Warhammer Armies" and click. Click the + by whatever army interests you, then click "Getting Started" for a little rundown on the army. Of course, they're trying to sell you stuff, so keep that in mind when they tell you how awesome everything is without mentioning any drawbacks. ;-) If you can, try to borrow the main rulebook to refresh, or buy one of the small ones from the Battle for Skull Pass set off of ebay or elsewhere for a few $. Then borrow/buy the book for the army you're interested in and make sure it's for you before you buy the army - better to "waste" $20 than $200. Fan-sites and forums can also be a good place to look.
