What do you guys think the best game ever is?

Probly chess, you can learn it fairly quickly but it can take a lifetime to master.

I think Apples to Apples is THE best game of ANY type. It is great fun. It is simple. Everyone can play it. It can be played anywhere. It has categories for everyone. There is no wrong answer :) It is entirely about opinions and personality.

Well i suppose it depends on what type of game you're talking about. I would agree though that as far as board games go Risk is definitely a very good one.

I don't know if you have ever heard/played any of theses games but.. the game "Faces" is one of the best "board" game I've played. Its all about first impressions. The first round is played with the same six faces down on the table and the first person draws a card (like apples to apples) and reads it aloud. It will say something like "the retired teacher" then everyone picks the face theyy think matches the questions. How ever many people match the person reading the card is how far you move your pawn. In the second round of the game you pass out two of each card to everyone (two male, two female, and two animals cards) so everyone has six. Then the first person goes asking the question.. and then everyone else lays down the face that they think matches best. It is so much fun!! The best is when the animal faces are up:) The best "card" game is "Mille borne" its just amazing. The best "dice" game is "Pass The Pigs." All games that are great for any age and easy to learn. If you haven't played any or all of these games I suggest doing so and soon.. you don't know what your missing:)

I would say that Risk is the best multiplayer board game ever. Many a night and afternoon has been spent trying to take over the world with infantry, calvary, and cannon.

Dungeons and Dragons.

The best board game i have ever played is The Settlers of Catan, it combines managing your resources with restricting your opponents opportunities to out build you. My second best is a tie between Ticket to Ride and Axis and Allies.

My favorite is probably "1830: The Game of Railroads and Robber Barons" by Avalon Hill. Risk is a good game for kids to learn on, but there's too much luck involved with the dice rolls and it gets to be too predictable. Ticket to Ride and the 10 Days games (10 Days in Europe, 10 Days in the USA, 10 Days in Africa, 10 Days in Asia) are up there on my favorites list too.

I would say Clue. it's a game of strategy and deduction, but it also doesn't take forever and a day to play it. also, it doesn't really hurt that I learned how to read by playing it and needing to understand the little notepad thing. I've been playing that game for almost 20 years, and I still have my first game set.
