Board games are an amazing art form, a wonderful but complex mix between art and various fields of mathematics. It allows you to be creative and if you do it right, people will actually care about winning. Here is some ideas: 1. What are the components of conflict in your theme? The relationship between Ever and Damon might not be easy to make a game out of, but what about a game about Ever versus nasty school kids? 2. Will your game be a conflict between players and the board (environment)? Will it be conflict between one player (Ever) and other players (schoolkids)? Will one player control all the schoolkids? 3. What must each player do to win? Ever might be powerful, but scared and slow, while the schoolkids might be weak but nasty and relentless. 4. Convert these ideas into "mechanics", that is, change them into numbers and think how these numbers interact. Remember, dice can be used for combat, movement, attacking, etc. 5. What type of game will you create? Will it have a board? A path? Maybe base the board around a school? Maybe force the players to follow a timetable for classes?
