Does "Mindflex" really work?
-
I saw a commercial for "mindflex", the game you control with your mind. Has anyone got their hands on this? Does it work?

Answer:
The Mattel "Mindflex" game is indeed real and does work. However, although it serves it purpose to where it'd be nigh impossible to determine it didn't function the exact way it was claimed to just by using it, it is not as of now 100% proven to rely on actual brain waves. Be aware, though, the technology is definitely progressed enough for something like this to be made; I fail to understand why some of the users here seem to think it so utterly fake. Also, I have done very extensive research on this, and it appears that most sources do indeed believe that this relies on brainwaves. I personally would also have to admit that I lean somewhat toward this side, one of the reasons being the only source I have saying otherwise is an Amazon customer review. This game apparently relies on EEG (Electroencephalography) technology to read theta brainwaves in a relatively simple manner. The box it comes in contains a headset, a ball, some obstacles, and a base with a fan that controls the ball. The headset goes around your head (some sources say that it's a tad bit tight, although it is adjustable to some extent) and has two little earpieces that clip onto each earlobe. It is meant to control the air flow of the fan and raise or lower the ball. (There is a dial on the base to move it left or right around the course made up of the aforementioned obstacles.) As for the review I mentioned being the only negative source I've seen, it appeared to be somewhat exaggerated at best. The writer seemed to be trying to say that the game actually had a single preprogrammed routine, which I know is not the case. This review did have much more sensible claims, but I'd prefer the people who actually read this endless answer check it out for themselves. I feel I've explained enough. Sorry, writer.
