As others have said, your theory is very flawed. Here is another point that I don't believe anyone has pointed out: Let's say the jackpot is £17million. That doesn't mean you get the whole £17million if you ever win. I'm not 100% sure about the UK lotto, but I think it works the same as American lotteries in that you only get about 1/2 that amount if you choose to take all the money at once. Plus taxes? (Perhaps you don't pay taxes on lottery winnings in UK - I know they don't pay taxes on winnings in Canada.) Still - Let's say even if you COULD know that 7-million different combinations have already been sold out of the approximately 14-million different combinations possible, AND someone could tell you what all those combinations were. Now you'd spend £7million on the OTHER 7-million combinations??? That would only give you a 50/50 chance to win the jackpot!
