I found a website that sells devices you can use to cheat in casinos. Anyone ever used any of these types of devices? I found this when I was looking for a good book on how to count cards. I'm going to Vegas for my birthday in November, I'd at least like to know how to count cards, I don't know what book to get. I found books on Amazon. Or would it be worth it to spend money on one of those gambling devices? Here's the websites I used: http://www.hackershomepage.com/section4.htm http://www.amazon.com/Knock-Out-Blackjack-Card-Counting-Gambling-Theories/dp/0929712315#reader_0929712315

Answer:
The first one is 100% scam. The amazon link is for a book on a card counting system which is actually pretty good for most people. Just remember that any casino that suspects you of counting cards can kick you out.

Don't waste your money. Any gambling devices you take into a casino are either going to be illegal or they will get you thrown out. The casinos are very fussy about people using gambling aids and they will not hesitate to give you the boot. Card counting works fairly well when you are playing with a single deck but when the house uses multiple decks it becomes exceedingly difficult to remember all of the cards that have been played. You will have a lot more fun if you just think of gambling as entertainment, set a limit on how much you are willing to lose and stop playing when you reach your limit.

Dont even attempt it. If they catch you, which they probably will, they will take you out back and break your fingers or kneecaps.

Cheating is against the law and I wouldn't recommend it. If you can't afford to lose, don't gamble.

It should be obvious that those devices are a total scam. Someone comes up with a device that lets anyone rig slot machines, they decide to sell it on the internet instead of quietly using it themselves, and either the casinos are totally helpless to stop it, or they don't care that people are winning jackpot after jackpot. Card counting does work, that's been proven. I don't know about that particular system. but if you do enough research you're bound to find some counting system that is a documented success. The problem is that card counting is difficult.. if it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and the casinos would have to shut down the blackjack tables. Successful card counting takes lots of practice, lots of patience, and ferocious concentration. You won't be able to enjoy yourself and celebrate your birthday because you'll be working.
