How can I get a line cook job at Olive Garden?

How to get a job at a casino/hotel?

  • I'm a guy in my late 20s and i never had a job ever in my life. I do like to go to casinos a lot and like the atmosphere there. But the job that seems very appealing to me are those people at the front desk who check people in and out at the casino hotels. Of course the pay there is very low i but that job looks very good. Does anyone know if job positions like that are very hard to get? I checked online and it seems most require you to be a guest-friendly person and be a people person. I read some descriptions that having previous experience is a plus and of course a person with experience there will get a nod over the person with no experience. I don't know about you guys but if the pay was minimum wage, i would take it in a heartbeat. Has anyone here or know someone who tried to get a job at a casino and got it and can tell me how hard it is? I know there are positions at regular hotels as well for these front desk people but the ones at the casino seem really appealing than at a regular hotel. I know that people who work at retail such as starbucks etc get tired and rushed especially when there are so many customers waiting on line. But for hotel guests at the casino, it doesn't seem very stressful... of course I never had a job so this opinion of mine is holds no value probably because i have no experience. I know there are a ton of positions like host, bellman, cook, attendant at casinos but i would not qualify for any of those as you need skills in those things. Also, even though i have a college degree, it is not in that field. Anyone can give me any advice here?

I'd suggest that you're going to have a very hard time getting any job. I'm not trying to be mean to you - it's just the truth. You'll have to explain to most employers how it is that you're in your late 20's and still never had a job. (You don't need to explain it to us, but you'll have to explain it to them.) By the way - just because something is going to be hard, doesn't mean you shouldn't go for it. Life is hard. Start doing something - ANYTHING - to get yourself a job - ANY job!

Go online to their website, look for the employment or HR (Human Resources) link and submit your application/resume. But honestly, if I was an employer, I would be very hesitant if you're in your late 20's and do not have an employment history.
