Yes you are correct, its known as affiliate advertising, people advertise using aggressive and dishonest strategies such as lying about strategies, when you click on the link to go to the casino and try the trick (and lose) the affiliate is payed a commision of your losses.

Should stay away from online casinos altogether, stick to real casinos you can go to in person, easier to set a budget and stick to it, you can often get free drinks, and it's overall a better experience then a online casino.
