• (soccer by the way) but my friends have once put a 2 pound bet and won 150 pounds! that's a huge profit to win. so how does it work? when i look at the receipt of the bets he has won it looks confusing like it says Stoke 5-4, Everton 1-1, Reading 11-8, QPR 1-1, Swansea 1-1, Real Madrid 4-7. (these matches where played on the 19th march 2011.) so how does it work?

  An accumulator is when the player combines 2 or more bets in 1 bet. So basically, imagine there are 3 matches being played. You want to bet that the home team of all those 3 matches will win. Instead of placing single bets, you decide to combine all 3 in 1 and place a treble. Obviously, you will get better odds, however ALL the 3 bets you included must win for you to win the bet.
