Are there any really simple and reliable systems for roulette?

Are there any roulette systems that work?

  • My school is having a casino night and I'd really like to win the grand prize (a Wii). I've had some luck with roulette before when I bet on black or red and switched colors and doubled my bet after every roll. This is a no limit game so there must be some kind of system right? One system I've heard of is to bet on the same color and double the bet after every roll and all it takes is the balls to ride out the ups and downs.

  • Answer:

This is known as the "Small Martingale" system, and it's one of the oldest systems in gambling. It does NOT work, nor does ANY other betting strategy. If it DID work, every person who tried it would be immediately booted out of the casino. Here's the problem: Suppose your first bet is $1. The MOST you can win at one time is exactly one dollar, but you can lose HUGE bets. Why is that, you might ask? Suppose you lose 7 spins in a row. (This will happen MUCH more often than you think!). For your 7th bet, you have to bet $128. If you WIN that bet, how much have you won? Answer: Exactly ONE dollar. That's because you've just LOST bets of $1,$2,$4,$8,$16,$32,and $64; for a total of $127! Believe me when I tell you; when a casino finds someone playing this system; and there ARE plenty of suckers who TRY it, they send a LIMO to the person's house to pick them up.

there is no stragy that will win in the long run but there are many that u can use to improve your chances i personally play a little weird but this ihow i do it. i always buy in for 20$ i pick a section top middle or bottom i then take that one section and i put 2$ on all 6 corners and 4$ on the 2 middle numbers in that section. If you dont hit u lose 20 but if u happen to get a middle nmber u bank and if u get any number in your section each corner pays 8 to 1 . i have used this strategy and hit 7 -8 times in a row for a 5k gain. but i do switch sections

sorry but there are alot that in theory would work, but house limits prevent them from long term creating profit. house odds will always catch up in the end. i lost alot wen i was younger(about £18k) trying to win back losses with "foolproof" systems. not gambled since

Is there a betting system? Yes Does it work? Depends on who you are talking to. I got this from the site listed below: The idea is to place a 1-unit bet on even odds. Even odds bets include Black, Red, Odd, Even, High and Low. If you win the bet, keep the 1-unit profit and place another 1-unit bet. If you lose, place the same bet, but double the units. Continue to double your bet with each loss until you win. Like you said in your question - it takes a lot of guts to try this though.

the doubling the bet system your talking about is the martingale system. But if this a roulette tournament... then you need to adjust your strategy. the prizes are just for the winners so you need pick some high risk strategys and bet big to have a chance at having the highest winnings

Nope. You can't control the speed the wheel is spun or the force the ball is entered into play. These two variables make every single game unique.

Yes, but it depends - are you doing it online? See, the Martingale method works - on PAPER. It works really well, as long as losing streaks don't go beyond 3-5 times in a row or more. If you're starting with $1 chips and you've Martingaled up to your tenth time, you're now risking $512 bucks just to break even and gain a $1 profit. Granted, the odds of betting red and it turning up black ten times in a row is mildly astronomical, but it DOES happen, don't let anyone fool ya. But if you combined strategies, say, Martingaling with result recording to predict outcomes (loosely akin to card counting in BlackJack), then odds can be wildly increased in your favor. But you either gotta have 5 brains to do it, or you need a computer. Or, software. The one I found at www.gamblinghacks.com has a free version to try. Try it out on a "play money" account in an online casino before you try it with real money, and you'll feel easier about experimenting with it. But DON'T make any guesses on your OWN - do only what the software tells you to do, or you'll mess it up! Once I learned that, I haven't lost with it yet! hehe :P lol BTW, only do it for FUN - don't go trying to do it to pay bills. That'd just be hella-dumb. I hope this helps! ^_^
