American poker sites - Anyone good players getting odd results?

  • I started grinding a bankroll on pokerstars, after about 6 weeks I was down about $60 having played about 220 $13 sit n gos. I play making a comfortable profit upto $200 a game and am grinding this bankroll to see what my results are at high stakes but getting stung on $13 donkeyfests lol. I noticed once a week, like clockwok, i would drop 20 buyins almost in a row, devastating any profits. Having seen this pattern on stars and fulltilt for years (but reassuring myself it must be in my head) I withdrew the tattered remains of my bankroll and put it on ipoker, immediately, i started showing profit, due to weaker games, but i wasnt getting outdrawn half as much. Flush draws hit 2 to 1, coin flips 1 to 1, dont get me wrong Ive had streaks up and down, but my bankroll is now mirroring my play over a number of games. Im now playing $50 a game with obv tougher players and still seeing better results than playing $13 on the fore-mentioned sites. Im aware these sites have better players, but when you're still outplaying them, you should still win! Seen too many freak statistics over a number of trials compared to european sites and really wanted to get feedback off people who've had similar experiences (over a long time, not 2b confused with a losing streak) and others that think its in my head and that these $13 sit n goers are 'good will hunting's with math degrees that studied the game for years just to take my $13. Seriously, what the f*** is up with these sites?

    I've played successfully on both these sites. Poker Stars since 2003 and Full Tilt since about 2005. I've not experienced what you are talking about. I just have a hard time believing that a company would take the time and effort required to produce software capable of the scam you are accusing them of, and successfully keep such a scam quiet. It would take a dozen or so staffers who knew what was going on, and it would require them to never go to the media. When you consider that Poker Stars is about to deal its 25 billionth hand, it is hard to imagine that some math genius has so far failed to prove the allegations you are making.

I find it's always easier playing bigger stake games. You are usually playing against players that think for a second before they act. In the lower cost games on any site, people just don't really care about the money they are playing wtih so it's "all in" with any vauge draw... But the more expensive the game usually the slightly more sane the play is and in some cases more predictable.

I have played on Full Tilt, Poker Stars, and Party Poker. I don't believe any of these sites every cheat, would not be good for busines.. I do believe though that they rig the action. I see way too many action turn and river cards come up. It makes sense for the site to build big pots, bigger pots bigger rake, in tournaments and SNG's, the faster you get the tournament over with the faster you can start another one. So yes I do believe the action is manufactured.
