What should I wear to an indoor Jazz Festival?

**LAST MINUTE*** Starting jazz and ballet tomorrow. What should I wear, bring, tips, ect?

  • Hi guuuys<3 so heres a little bit about me.. I used to do gymnastics when i was 2 to about 7. Then i had to quit because I moved. I never got back into it, but I did start cheerleading and ballet from 8 to 10. I haven't been in anything else ever since then and I am now 13. I had to quit cheering and stuff because I have a wrist disease or something. So now I am starting back up in ballet and going to try jazz. I forgot all the positions for ballet though! And what should I wear and bring? So far this is what I have to wear. Jazz ; nude tights (footless) , spandex shorts , foot undiez , a sports bra , and just a tank top . Ballet ; pink/white tights (i have both) , a leotard (black and pink) , and ballet shoes . If anyone could help it would be greatly apprieciated (: and one more question ! where can i get good sports bras? i only have a purple one and that wont work ouut well for ballet.. and i got that one from a friend. I am a size 34B but I am really short ( 4'10 ) Thank You <3

You can find a sports bra at any major retail store. They usually carry good brands. Or you can try Dick's Sporting Goods if there's one around you. Sometimes jazz and ballet can be intense so I'd say be careful with your wrist, especially jazz. There can be more floor work than you think. Do you need jazz shoes at all or just foot undeez? As far as ballet positions: 1st position - heels together, toes apart (any position in ballet you need to keep your turnout 2nd position - feet are a little more than shoulder width apart (pretty much first, but spreading your legs) 3rd position - not used too much but it is when the heel of your one foot is touching the arch of your other (first with the heel of one foot moved up slightly) 4th position - similar to 3rd but feet are not touching. One foot is slightly more forward than the other. 5th position - heel of one foot is touching the big toe of the other foot. Remember to keep your turnout, and the turnout comes from the entire leg up in the hip, not just the ankle. http://dance.about.com/od/stepsandmoves/ss/Ballet_Five.htm http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.artofballet.com/allfivepositions.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.artofballet.com/class2.html&h=284&w=514&sz=55&tbnid=tNwSL-eDBMBEsM:&tbnh=70&tbnw=127&zoom=1&docid=gdzm79t7bL7R9M&hl=en&sa=X&ei=hOTUTqWoEeLX0QHyysigAg&sqi=2&ved=0CC8Q9QEwAg&dur=667

For Jazz, I also think you should get a crop top:). I have a lumo pink one and it's amazing! It'll keep you cool... So I suggest that... If youer allowed:P. Also make sure for both Ballet and Jazz that you have hair elastics to tie your hair up with. You can get sports bras from sports shops or from most clothing stores. Probably in the bra section - lol. Here are the basic ballet steps: http://dance.about.com/od/stepsandmoves/ss/Ballet_Five.htm You're so lucky you're doing Jazz!! Its been my dream since I was little! Lol:P... Enjoy yourself<3xxx Please answer mine?:) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ammw9AGL2uZ3U6tN8QV3SBkM_dw4;_ylv=3?qid=20111129060016AAQ0Ey6
