Who was Sadie Hawkins?

Does any one have any good themes and Activities for a Sadie Hawkins dance that would actually get ppl to come?

• Hi im going to be the Sophomore Prez this year and im in charge of the Sadie Hawkins Dance. No one ever showed up the previous years and i want to be the first to break that curse. I need great themes and activites to make ppl intrested in coming. And yes the Sadie Hawkins is open to all grades.

• Answer:

  Choose a fun theme like 80s, 90s, Grease, Footloose, Paris, Arabian Nights, Theme Park/Fair, Circus,etc. Then plan the dance and activities around the theme. You could have a popular local band perform, or find some kind of local entertainment and advertise them on the dance fliers. See if your school can fund for a raffle prize such as an iPod, concert tickets, mall gift card, etc. Each student who purchases a dance ticket will get a raffle ticket and they can buy more at the dance if they want. You could also have a Sadie Hawkins Best Couple contest and the winners could receive a dinner or other prize. You will have to communicate with the school about funds for the dance of course and how much you can spend.
