What to wear instead of jazz shoes?

  • so in 1 week i go to dance school to start jazz well because i havnt done jazz before my parents dont want to buy me all the stuff untill ive been to one lesson and they know i like it i did tap when i was younger for 4 years and so i have a winter leotard that still fits me so im gonna wear that and booty shorts but i dont know what to wear as shoes should i just wear socks or is there shoes i could use instead ???

    don't wear any shoes that you have worn outside because it can ruin the floors in the studio. I would go barefoot and bring a pair of socks. Before class starts ask the teacher if she would prefer you wear the socks or just go barefoot. Normally most teachers would prefer you to go barefoot since you could slip from the lack of traction. You will probably want the socks if you do turns though. you could also wear ballet shoes or dance paws if you have any.
