I need an interesting song to dance to for my school's variety show. Any ideas?
-
Last year, I danced on pointe for the variety show at my high school (it's a talent show without a winner), and the teacher who manages the show loved it. He asked me all last semester and again today if I would audition again. I wasn't really considering it, but I loved being in the show last year, so I figured, why not? I don't have a dance prepared, and auditions are January 30. What I'd like to do instead of pointe this year, seeing as I'm crunched for time, is a musical theater type dance. I'm just having problems coming up with a song. Any ideas? They have to be school appropriate (so PG-13 or under) I like the idea of something showy and classic like Frank Sinatra's New York, New York, but I'll listen to anything. Please and thank you!
