What Can I Do To Become A Really Good Dancer And How Can I Make My Life Revovle Around it?

  • I LOVE DANCE! I dance like everday after homework.... How can i make my daily life b like dance dance dance? Like wear can i find ballet type shoes that help you spinn????? And this is so my passion im just asking without classes how to become betta and and how much should i practice and how can i improve and keep my grades up. FYI: i am in the eighth grade and becasue i am a leaad actress at a HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL ( i know impressive) Rehearsals are vital for my department so how can i manage school dance and drama!!!??? HELP!

    I'm in 8th grade too, and in drama, but i do tennis and softball and Hip hop. But, i'm self taught, and i do popping and locking and bboying. Those are never easy to do. I am in Advanced theatre, which is sophomore level, but it's always after school. and being in all pre-ap classes means homework...so, i have maybe 2 hours to eat dinner and practice dance. But i am inspired everyday to dance. You can't make your life be "dance dance dance". You need to WANT to make it that way. I fell in love with popping after I saw a dance crew perform on a tv show. You have to remember that school is more important though. no matter what. I want to become a professional dancer, but i also want to be a engineer. you have to be able to balance everything out. Basically. Love what you do. Don't make yourself love what you do. and don't put too much on your plate. it makes everything sooooo much harder

Ummm...can I please suggest you spend a bit more time on your homework? The spelling and grammar here is appalling. The only way to really improve dancing is to take classes. Teaching yourself is only going to form bad technique and poor habits that will be very hard to break later. Ballet shoes don't really "help you spin". And again, you shouldn't teach yourself. If you really must get ballet shoes, go to a dance shop and get fitted properly. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO EN POINTE without instruction. "i know impressive" No, it's not really. I would consider it "impressive" if you were already making movies. Get that ego under control before it runs away with you.

Um. Without classes or anything, all you can really do is practice/teach yourself or...try to find shows that will accept random dancers? I'm not really sure what you're asking for here. For the ballet shoes, go to Google and type in "ballet shoes" and your area. You should find a store that holds them. (Sorry it's not more specific, I'm not a ballerina). You can manage school, dance, and drama by sorting them all by priority. School would go first, then you decide which goes next: dance or drama. If homework demands your attention, do that first. Then practice for drama or dance. The key to improving is practice: Practice, practice, practice. You're gonna suck at first, but after a while, and I mean years, you're going to become good at what you do. Instead of playing it by ear, look up dance tutorials of songs that you like to listen to and go from there, if you're determined not to take a class or anything.
