In my experience, those who won competitions were always the ones who did something unexpected. So, do not use a song that is often heard on the radio or that people would expect from a 15 year old girl. Go with the kind of music you like; a jazz dance can be done to anything with a good beat. For something a little rougher you could do a My Chemical Romance song... Paramore's "Misery Business" would be good... Bjork songs are very different and have great beats For a cute, lighter dance you could go with something old like Judy Garland's "Zing Went the Strings of my Heart," that is a great song to dance to....
