The best outfit to wear for a belly dance class is something that is comfortable and does not restrict your movement. I usually wear yoga or jazz pants with a tank top or crop top (depending on the time of year) with a hip sash.

I used to take belly dancing and all you really need is sweats (usually black), any shirt, and a belly dancing hip scarf.
