Advanced Beginner Irish dance help FAST!!?

• Ok, so I start Irish classes this Thursday. I am excited but confused about something. I have never done any Irish classes before, I am 15, but was placed in the AB twice a week classes instead of Beginner that I thought I had to start with. Do you think I was put in AB because of my age, since the new beginner classes say they are for 8-10 yr. olds? But I was originally told I would start with the 8-10s, but not told if I would be AB or Beginner. Why would I be placed in AB if I am supposed to dance up from Beginner after a year of training that I do not have? Do you think for feisanna I would start from AB instead of Beginner, since I am in AB classes? I am confused, can't get ahold of my TC, I am SUPER busy all week, with school starting and having just moved to a new city yesterday. I am scared I will walk into class and be expected to know all the softshoe dances and hornpipe as well, since AB is when my school starts hardshoe. But my TC knows I have never done any ID classes, so why do you think she would put me in AB?? PLEASE PLEASE real answers if you have them I start classes in 5 days, need help! I will give 5 stars to the best answer!

  When you start older, you tend to understand things and catch on quicker then the younger kids, so that class would be too slow paced for you. In feiseanna, you would compete as an AB, since the years you've danced doesn't matter then. You just need to trust your TCRG, and you'll be fine. I walked in to my AB class with no clue what they were doing when they practiced the hornpipe (i came in the 3rd week class already started), but I watched them and got it right away. Now I'm in PW! You'll do great it's nothing to worry about.
