My daughter has to do graduation project..Her interest is dancing. Does anyone have any ideas of what to do?

Hey! She can choose for her project to talk and present materials about women that improve clasic and contemporary dance..it is a hard subject but ecxaiting to learn...u have a lot of information..Chek from Isadora Duncan to Pina Baush to Trisha Brown in contemporary dance it is amzing information.Ot in clasic ballet.The visions of this artists it will inspire u. Good look.

She can do something like the history of dancing and the different styles around the globe. Example: why people dance, different traditions, things of that sort. Sounds like a fun project...good luck to her!

search around in your town for dance studios/classes that are being offered. Stop by and see if the instructor allows your daughter to "stop by" and participate for a few weeks or even just a couple of times. Of course it has to be a dance she likes and never has done before and the isntructor should be someone interesting so she can interview that person later on for the project. Put together a portfolio/presentation/paper about the experiences learning the new dance, take pictures, give backround on the dance styles etc...

How about if she teaches a group of willing students (maybe in the elementary school) a specific dance & performs it at a concert?

take videos of her dancing from a kid to now and put them all together on a dvd w/ music, surley they will appericate her talent and effort when they wacth the video. Its something simple, compact, and shows your creative-ness.

Have her go to a local elementry and talk to the princalble!! Have her ask he/she if she can put on like a dance workshop for a certain age of kids!! She could do like 3rd through 5th graders or even younger!! THey can all meet like three days a week after school and she could teach them the basics of a kind of dance! then she could make up a dance teach it to them then have a little show for there parents!!
