If i strengthen my hamstrings, will it help the tightness to go away?
-
I went for a massage today and I also use the foam roller to relieve tight muscles, but I also know that I need to build strength in my hamstrings. Do you think if I strengthen them it will help the knots go away? Or will is just strain the already tight muscle?

Answer:
most likely, if your hamstrings are weak, then they will get tired quickly. they are probably tight from when you use them since they get tired so quickly. so yes, in that way strengthening them would make them get tight less because it would take using them more to make them so tired and tight. but to relieve the soreness: - stretch - foam roller is great - when they're really sore you can try putting arnica or tiger balm on them to help with the soreness but tight, sore muscles are just a fact of life in dance. :)
