What is the Rockette summer intensive?

Questions about the Rockette Summer Intensive Program?

I would like to try out for this next year, I'm a 15 year old girl. I have a few questions... Do you have to prove to them that you've been in dance for 5 years? Also, are you supposed to stay in New York for the whole summer?(I don't live in NYC, by the way). What is usually required for auditions? One more thing, is it possible to get financial help/a scholarship to help pay? Thank you!

I am actually watching a local tv series about the RSI. Yes I believe that you would need some proof of your dance experience. It's a week long camp so no you wouldn't have to stay in NY for the whole summer. From what I saw in the auditions, you need to do "eye high" kicks, a double pirouette and you have to learn a jazz combo and a tap combo. Scholarships are only given to the top 10 girls and there is no other financial help that I am aware of. Check out their website for more info.
