When to start ice dance?

I am an ice skater (and 15 years old), I want to start taking a dance class, which one would help my skating?

    ballet is the number one choice. it makes u flexible which will help you do harder moves when u skate. it will also improve ur posture. also it will make your skating look graceful and flawless! :) the next choice would be lyrical. it is a mixture of ballet and a little bit of jazz. it will also make ur skating look graceful and flawless. ballet would be best but lyrical would also help.

ballet would really help because you work on strengthening your ankles you would probably do well because you probably have strong ankles you also learn to stretch and use your muscles in a strange way but it would help your turnout and leg strength

Ballet is great for giving you grace, stronger muscles, and flexibility. Jazz is great for beginners and for the overall tricks, jumps, and axles. Ballet, if you want grace, jazz if you want to improve tricks. =)

i would say ballet.. doing so would improve posture, balance, flexibility, turns...etc.. and if you find it too boring or something then you can maybe try jazz hope this helped =] and good luck!

Ballet definetely! It will help you with balance, flexibelity, coordination, and strength. Its also alot of fun. You will probably fall in love with it.

Ballet keeps you more flexible (most times), but things like hip hop and freestyle dancing get you moving your body more... Hmmm. Do some research on all types of dance.
