What do ballet dancers and gymnasts wear when travelling or not at work?

  • this may sound like a daft question but when travelling or not working what do ballet dancers wear, im just wondering do they wear tracksuits or some form of uniform if on tour or going somewhere or do they just wear normal clothing

    They wear normal clothes :] But of course where they are differs what they are wearing. For example, if they are in New York many of them might wear a pea coat with some knitted leggings and classy boots. The guys would wear the same, but with nice pants. In other words, they dress just like everyone else around them. However, I have noticed that the female dancers often wear their hair up even when not at dance.

Whenever dancers are on tour, they just wear their normal clothes. You may see a few wearing the school/company T-shirt (if applicable), but that's just their choice of clothing. When they are on tour, they don't even have to stay together when they are not in rehearsal, class, or on the stage, so there is really no reason for them to wear the same thing.
