What are some impressive but easy to learn dance moves?

What type of jazz dance moves do you learn in a beginners class?

• i'm 14 and i'm going to start a jazz/modern class at a local dance studio, but i don't know what to expect! am i going to learn different types of leaps and turns? will it just be choreo, no tricks/leaps/turns? and this is a class for 11 year olds and up. what types of leaps/tricks/turns will i learn? will they be hard/challenging? i already know about pirouettes and arabesques, but not much else after those...help? am i too old to be dancing in the first place? i'll be turning 15 in a couple of months, but i really want to go to competitions but i don't know if i'm too old to get all the leaps and turns required. i might even consider a career in dance, but i feel that i'm starting to late :(

  you would probably learn grande jete traveling russians split rolls (probably by the end of the year ) pirouettes chennays (sorry don't no how to spell that ) needles basic dance moves maybe a couple different turns and dont worry its never to late to start dance i started young i started when i was only 8 and you just have to be focused and practice lots
