How to do a Jazz Square?

Jazz square and pivot turn?

• im auditioning for show choir on wednesday and i need to learn how to do a pivot turn and a jazz square. HELP!!! i dont know how to do these things! can someone give me easy to understand. step by step instructions on how to do these? thanks!!!

  Oh man, jazz squares and pivots are so much fun! Ok, for a jazz square, lets start just standing with your feet a little open. (It doesn't have to be this way to do it, its just easier to explain :D) Put your weight on your left foot and take your right foot and cross it so that its on the other side your left foot. Now put your weight on the right foot and step back with the left foot. Then switch weight back to left foot, and step to the side with the right foot so that your stance is like it was to begin with. Lastly, shift your weight back to your right foot, and just step in front of it with your left foot, finishing the square. for a pivot turn, just step in front lets say with your right foot) than just go onto your toes and twist your body to the left so that you face the other direction. Then just your right foot to the front again and turn again. If you put the left foward, just turn to the right. Good Luck with Show Choir!
