Which college major would help me with Critical Thinking most?

Thinking about going to college for dance.. help?

• I was recently going to school to be a hair dresser. I truly hated it.. and I live in a small town and the schools have very little options. Recently my fiance got offered a job in Houston making a ton of money, so he will be supporting me but I'd still like to do my own thing. When I was younger, I used to be a dancing fool. I loved it and it was my passion. I haven't done it in about 4 years, but I think I could get back into the jive of it.. and Houston community college offers dance programs. So I'm thinking of either going into modern dance, or ballet. I've never done ballet but I have always wanted to. Would it be a bad idea to go into a ballet class with no experience, or will i learn there?

  Why not contact the school and ask them. I don't believe this an audition based school and the dance department is not all that competitive. However to find out if there is any pre-request regarding dance experience, you should contact them. Ideally, you should take ballet because it is important as a basis for all dance. Modern dancers take ballet classes prior to, as well as along with their current modern classes.
