Can i use an old disneyland ticket to upgrade to an annual pass?

If I go to Disneyland on my birthday can I use the free ticket to upgrade to an annual passport?

  • So if I go on my birthday I will get a free one park ticket valued at $69. Can I then use that towards the purchase of an annual pass? So, say if I decide on the Deluxe Annual Passport ($269): $269 - $69 ---------- $200 I would get the passport for $200. Is this right?

  • Answer:

Yes, this is from Disney's website: "Q: Can I upgrade my free birthday ticket to another ticket type? A: Yes, the free birthday ticket may be upgraded to another ticket type on your birthday. However the celebrant is responsible for the incremental cost and the new ticket may only be used by the celebrant. In addition, the One Day/One Park Ticket good for 12 months (an option for select Guests) may not be upgraded."

The answer to your question is YES! The birthday ticket is the value of the ticket $69. Whether you choose to use it for one day of admission only, or you choose to apply it towards an annual pass at a value of $69, doesn't matter. The choice is up to you to make. If you have been considering an annual pass, then this is the perfect opportunity to get one, and save a little money along the way!
