Famous parks in the world?

World Disney World parks?

  • I'm planning on going to Walt Disney World in November. I plan on only visiting 4 parks. 2 adults would be coming as well as one 14 year old boy and a 15 year old girl. I do not want to go to Disney's Animal Kingdom park though. For the ones that have been there, which four parks would would you recommend us and why.

  • Answer:

Magic Kingdom EPCOT Disney Movie Studios All of those can take more than a full day on their own so spend a day at each then see which you want to go back and spend more time in. You didn't state how long you're going to be in town.

It depends on what you like. i will give you a quick things that i like about the parks. Magic Kingdom. this is what people think of when they think of a Disney theme park. you have all the fantasy and all of the classic characters. probably has the most number of rides. only draw backs are that it is the most popular and will have the longest lines, family oriented so the rides are designed to appeal to several age groups. might be to tame for teenagers. Epcot: Part worlds fair and part tour around the world this is one of my favorite and i think underrated theme parks. it has some really cool rides. not necessary extreme but a lot of fun. its family friendly. what i think makes it special is that it has several pavilions representing different parts of the world. you can sample its cuisine, art, etc. by visiting the stores, attractions and shows. might seem boring if you are not into travel and/or food. lots of musical acts but again, might not matter if you are not into it. Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) is probably the most popular park with teens. has two of the most intense rides on property Rock and Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. both great rides. and the new Toy Story Mania ride is a lot of fun. think 3D ride, carnival games and just plain fun. but its the smallest of the parks. since there are not as many rides lines again tend to be long. but if you time it right, you can see everything in one day. since you said that you don't want to visit animal kingdom, then for a fourth park you have a couple of options. either a water park (which depending on the exact time of year might not be open) or DisneyQuest. its great if you like video games (several of them were made for disney and are virtual reality) plus regular video games... if you don't like video games then its not for you. or you can visit one of the other theme parks.

From my experience as a Florida resident season passholder, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT have the best combinations of rides. With Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, you will have just as much fun as the other two with the main difference being that it will all be concentrated in two rides per park, which happen to be the most intense (i.e.: best) rides at Disney World. At Hollywood Studios, those are Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror; and at Animal Kingdom, those are Expedition Everest and Dinosaur. Hope this information helps.

There are only four parks- two water parks-and downtown disney. Animal Kingdom is great-why don't you want to go there?

With the ages of the kids, you will definitely want to visit Hollywood Studios. It is geared more for teens than the other parks, and they will love the thrill rides. EPCOT would be a good place to go. EPCOT has Test Track, Soarin', and Mission: Space, which are three of the best rides in all of Disney World. Magic Kingdom was a bit of a disapointment for me and my two tween boys as most of the attractions were slow moving vehicles and looking at Disney animatronics. However, the Magic Kingdom really should be part of the experience if you plan to go. Animal Kingdom is really a neat place, so I think you should reconsider going there. Have you considered going to a water park as your fourth park? Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are water parks like you have never seen! Blizzard Beach has a lot of water slides and more for teens while Typhoon Lagoon is a little more laid back. Whatever you do, make sure you plan, plan, plan! Go buy "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2009". This was the best $20 I spent for my family's July 2008 vacation to Disney. The book contains reviews for restaurants, hotels, and attractions on and off Disney property. However, the best part of the book are the touring plans! The plans give you step by step instructions on where to go and when to go in order to avoid the longest lines. For example: "Soarin" in EPCOT is one of the most popular rides in all of Disney. A 2-hour wait in line is not uncommon to partake in this awesome experience. However, using the touring plan in the book and maximizing Disney's "Fast Pass" system, we were able to ride it twice in a row without waiting in line one time! By the way, if you don't know what the "Fast Pass" system is, then definitely get the book or ask us that are in the know at yahooanswers. It's fast, easy, and one of the few FREE things in Disney. Yes, it is absolutely FREE! Go out and buy the book today. I promise you will not be disappointed. Have fun!
