How do you do a zip line?

I am interested in trying it, but am looking for more information on what goes into it. Like the rider... what does the rider do exactly besides sit in the "sling"? Is there like a zip-line 101 site somewhere for the curious individual who is looking into doing it.

I've zip lined before on retreat. Basically there is an instructor guy, who helps you put on your gear. They clip you onto the cord and let you go. You don't do much except enjoy it. It is really fun.
