There are plenty of other rides to go on, carousels, a mono rail, a 3D cinema, a walk in haunted house etc. Water rides, log flumes. Tea cups, if you have an excuse of having children or don't feel too daft. But the thrill seekers win. It's a lot of money to miss out on half the rides, that being said, I haven't been for years. There may be other things you can go on now. There are also a lot more thrill rides now and I won't go on them, as I am a super wimp. They can keep their roller coasters and vertical whatevers, I am not going on them!

No - as the queues for the big rides are usually very long, he'd be stood around for ages which is no fun, especially if it's pouring with rain. It's quite expensive to get in too so it's probably not worth it. I've been twice and I don't go on the big rides; I ended up holding the coats! If you still go, make sure you do something he'd enjoy a few days later.

Yes and No, your mate is going to get bored, but you will love it. Why not go with someone else ? Checkout http://www.adventure-art-travel.co.uk/childrens-activities/alton-towers-theme-park-cheap-tickets/ for a full list of what's there this year, see how many your mate would like, then make up your mind.

Take someone else as well, someone who will go on the big rides with you, no fun on your own, have a great day.

Try and go on the Alton Towers website, check all the non-thrill rides and see if hes interested =D Then you'll know your way around too! ;)

Eh! Steve!

probably not worth going, as everyone will probably agree alton towers is mainly known for its big rides.

not really cause there aren't many rides there that aren't big
