How much are the flash passes in six flags great adventure?

Six Flags Great Adventure?

  • Hello, I have a few questions about attending Six Flags Great Adventure. I am planning on going to Great Adventure in late August. I have read many reviews and the thing I have read most often is about the atrocious amount of guests and huge lines. I am going to be visiting during the week, so any ideas of the best day to go? Also, I was wondering about about flash passes. Like most things in the park I hear, they are not cheap. Are they worth the money on a weekday? I am mainly going for the coasters, which are what I'd imagine have the longest lines. Platinum flash passes are out of the question, and gold is almost out of it too. I understand how regular flash passes work, so I am wondering if there would even be much to do while I'm waiting to get on a ride.

I am a New Jersey native, and I have to say that all of your information is VERY accurate. The lines in Six Flags Great Adventure usually long, but the staff is very efficient. They clear the line out faster than most theme parks I've been to. The rides rarely break-down. To answer your questions: -Mondays are usually the lightest. Roller coasters tend to stay at the 30 minute mark. However, on popular rides such as Kingda Ka, Superman: Ultimate Flight, Green Lantern, and El Toro, expect to wait an hour or more. (Superman even has a snack stand on line because they expected it). DON'T GO ON THE LOG FLUME. The lines almost always are at least 1 and a half hours. Get to the park early, about 30 minutes before opening. They will have barrier stopping crowds, but no lines would have accumulated yet. Head to the most popular rides first (Kingda Ka, El Toro, Green Lantern). Eat at unusual lunch and dinner times if staying long. -I don't think flash passes are worth the price. I have stayed in the park for about 5 hours and rode 3/4 of the coasters that were there. -If you do choose flash pass, you can ride some of the shorter lined coasters (Such as Batman:The Ride and Skull Mountain). Also enjoy rides such as Houdini's Great Escape and Parachute Tower because they are extremely unique and are two of the only rides found in North America. Hope this helps and have fun!

The least crowded day to go to SFGAd is preferably a Tuesday. A Regular The Flash Pass allows you to enjoy your day at Six Flags by avoiding long lines at your favorite rides. With a Regular The Flash Pass, you wait as long as everyone else is waiting, but not in line—you can enjoy your free time elsewhere in the park. It is priced from $45 for the first person, and you can ride: The Dark Knight Coaster Batman the Ride The Big Wheel Bizarro Buccaneer Congo Rapids El Toro GREEN LANTERN Kingda Ka Nitro Rolling Thunder Runaway Mine Train Saw Mill Log Flume Skull Mountain Superman: Ultimate Flight Twister Best regards.

i don't know what a flash pass is, but i went to six flags during spring break and the lines were long! i'd say maybe 30 minutes and up per line. and yes, it is overpriced there. the food is expensive.

I go during the summer a lot and the lines for the major roller coasters are all atleast 1 hr and can get up to 2 hrs. Any day from Monday to Thursday is probably best. I recommendd getting the gold flash passes. They are totally worth it because you'll wait at the most ten minutes (but usually you get to go immediately on), and they apply to all the rides that are worth going on. This summer I know they are $250 for four people, but you get around $30 back as long as you don't lose the pass. Don't get the regular flash passes though because they definitely aren't worth it. I always get the gold or don't get flash passes at all. With the regular ones you'll still hardly be able to ride any coasters, and all there is to do is sit around, eat, and if you're near the left of the park, play some carnival games.
