How can i make money to go to disneyland?

  • well, i'm going into eighth grade and joined show choir. the show choir, i just found out, goes almost everywhere! we're going to six flags, knott's berry farm, six flags again, all these other places across so cal, and, my favorite, disneyland. the disneyland trip is unique. we're not competing or performing in public like all the other trips, but instead we go backstage and they teach us a song and routine to disney movies or disneyland shows or something like that. i haven't been apart of the show choir, so i don't know exactly what's going down.... anyways, in my family, money's super tight. as in, going to disneyland is probably out of the question. the trip with the show choir is probably going to be in february or march, maybe a little later. i don't know if we'll have more money by then, and i'm kinda expecting the worst so i don't get my hopes up. and, as far as i know, my school doesn't do fundraising for students who can't afford trips....(i really hate my school, not just for that but everything else...). anyways, to get to my point, i need to raise money to be able and go. i already have $30 and we'll probably bring our own lunches, but i do need to buy dinner. i can get dinner for $15. sooo since a ticket into disneyland (we don't need to pay bus fare, the choir is in fact taking care of that : D ) is $80, i need to make $65 in order to go. i already know how to make some money: i make sketches and my fellow classmates are in fact willing to buy my sketches. however, i find that it's not a very productive way. i'll make maybe $20 a month, if i'm continually selling, which i really don't do... (i usually sell them for $5 considering that students my age don't have that much money, and they're simply sketches, but they'll have to do...) i've already checked out etsy, btw, and i'm not quite sure about baby sitting....i'll look into that as well... but, my problem is i need to make $65 in 6 months and just selling sketches isn't gonna cut it. help! i canNOT sit home knowing that everyone else is at disneyland without me. please!

    About 8 years ago I too did this same experience in my 8th grade choir. I was accidentally placed in the class and couldn't sing for beans but going to Disneyland was surely a plus! It was actually the only field trip we did for that class but admission to the park was free for us and the memory of going backstage in Disneyland was great! I would recommend sell as many picture as possible from now until then. I would also recommend getting a piece of paper from your school or teacher that tells of this/these field trips. You could then walk around your neighborhood, with an adult for safety, knock on doors and ask if you can wash their car or dog for 5 dollars. Show them the paper if they seem a little apprehensive so they know you are legit and not trying to rip them off. If you are familiar with Ebay or Amazon you can get some of your junk together and sell it online as well. You can even get some of your friends together and hold a huge car wash all day and see how much money you can collect. At the end of the day split the money between your friends and you, and see what portion you get from it. There are options and I'm sure you will go, you have time to collect money :) You will have a great time!

Babysitting is probably the easiest, but if you don't have experience, put an add on Craigslist or in the local paper about dogsitting. You would be suprised the amount of people who call you. I am a dog sitter, I charge $12 per visit to the house, and that includes, taking the dog for a walk, feeding it, and playing with it for about 10 minutes. Great, easy and fun money-making job. Also, it's best to give a discount if they want 5 or more visits per day. For example, I am babysitting a golden retriever next week whose parents want it out 5 times a day, instead of $12 per visit, charge $10. You will make your money in no time. Hope this helps :)

Im in ninth grade && I sometimes think its really hard to earn money -__- but Im pretty sure you can do it. Of course babysitting is an option but that can be hard to make enough money. Maybe you could talk to your parents and see if there friends or people at their job could use some such as cleaning, walking there dog, ect. You could even sell your sketches beyond school. You could do yard work for your neighbors. Hopefully one of those help ! Lemme know if you make it ! The link might help
