Are there any low intensity roller coasters at six flags?

I'm scared of roller coasters, and i'm going to six flags on thursday..?

  • i'm going to gurnee six flags on thursday, and i'm scared of most roller coasters. i've gone on the whizzer before, and i'm okay with that ride. but even with the demon, i'm scared. i've tried getting in line for the demon but i got scared and got out of line (that was a few years ago). how do i get over my fear of roller coasters? what are some roller coasters that aren't that big (at the gurnee six flags) that i can go on to help me start getting over my fear? thx in advance!

    Each person has a different way of getting over their fear of roller coasters which is assuming they have one in the first place. Admittedly, it was friends and family that helped me get on the coasters, I really wanted to have fun with them and that helped to overlap the fear. But the faster coasters like the Superman in Massachusetts I really had to be coaxed on. My father did everything he could to get me on the coaster and eventually he bribed my way onto the coasters. In the end, if you are going with a group, you may find your bravery increasing with the amount of friends you have with you. Although this may not immediately destroy the fear, the fear of the rides becomes part of the fun over time. The rides are actually more intimidating looking than they are too ride. If you have ridden any roller coaster in your life then once you try a big or fast one, you find out quick that there isn't much difference in the actual ride. Only the anticipation. This advice may not have helped, as advice didn't help me much either, but I hope you find the bravery or courage to go on these rides because there are only a few chances to do this a year and that's at best.

Just put your fear behind you and do it. It's kind of like jumping off of a diving board when you have a fear of heights. You get all the way to the top, and you want to climb back down but you can't. So you have to take a deep breath and jump-and after you hit the water you realize it's totally fun. I was always afraid of rollercoasters until I went on one when I was like 9 and then I realized there was nothing to be afraid of. It's all in your head and when you just do it you'll realize that there was nothing to be afraid of that it's really really fun.

OMG I'm going to six flags on thursday also and I am so scared! I am still going to force myself to ride on the rides that's pretty much all I can do. It probably wont be that bad I'm pretty sure once we go down thats first hill, we wont be so scared anymore.

first began to go on rides like indiana jones (disneyland) which had a few of jerky turns, so that led my to get used to things I did not expect. there are not many scary coasters at Disneyland as you may think. Start your self out slow and gradwhat you think you can achieve :) California adventure was more frightening. I went on california screamin with my friends so I had to show them i was brave. I still kept my head down the whole ride, but afterwards, I felt like I could do it again and again. the next time, I kept my head up the whole time and had the best time ever. if there are loops, they last about 2 seconds at most. Afterwards, you will feel Euphoric and great. Trust me. and... GOOD LUCK! sorry i mostly talked about Disney :(

pretend that u are doin it 4 someone!!! my sister was so scared to go on batman the ride in six flags n.j. i told her think of a song and pretend ur doin it 4 mason musso and close ur eyes and pretend ur flying!!!!!! now everytime we go to great adventure that is the frist ride she wants to go to!!! same story as my mom!!!!!!!
