Disneyland paris in august?

About working in disneyland paris?

  • I really want to work at Disneyland Paris in the parades and shows, but I don't feel that my French and my dancing is good enough yet. I have recently graduated from university and will start working full time soon, so it would just be something that I'd want to do over the summer and perhaps only for one summer if I don't actually enjoy working there. I would love to work there next summer but I'm sure that competition is tough and maybe I wouldn't stand much of a chance of working there. I am certainly enthusiastic and keen to learn and I tend to pick up things quickly but I have no idea whether they'd want me or not. Does anyone know roughly how old the dancers and performers tend to be at Disneyland, what it's like to work there and how to prepare for the whole audition process? I want to give myself the best possible chance, if I decide to audition. It's a childhood dream of mine but I've never had the courage to audition. In terms of acting, I haven't really got any acting experience but they say it's not necessary if you're applying to be e.g. a fur character. I can't imagine what it must be like inside those suits and I've read about the injuries performers sometimes sustain and I can imagine it would be quite hot inside there too, but I'm not a professional dancer and don't really stand a chance against people with a lot more dancing experience than me. I used to have dance lessons for a few years (about 3 years) and then gave it up when I was at university because there wasn't a dance school nearby. I'm not brilliant but I'm ok I think and I intend to take up dance classes again soon. I'm probably deluded and don't stand a chance but I'll never stop aiming high and pushing myself. Working in the shops etc at Disneyland doesn't really appeal to me. I would love to see what's backstage and work as part of a team, finding out what really goes on 'behind the magic'. I've been to Disneyland so many times now and it would be nice to view it from a different perspective.

  • Answer:

Your first question about being a dancer can be answered at disneyauditions.com. They even have videos with cast members telling their audition stories. For the acting part, they do require for you to have some experience they are very strict with people's facial features and such for character and performers. If you feel like you cant get a job as a performer I suggest you hire in any other position and transfer to entertainment later. As long as you have the passion you will go wherever you want! Don't forget that Watch this video on YouTube maybe it will help answer your question: every role a starring role -entertainment Disneyland Good luck :)
