How do the Flash Passes At Six Flags Great Adventure work?

  • I know there are 2 types, regular and gold. Whats the difference, how do the passes work, what do u do with them, do u get like a time slot or something? Thanks

    The regular flash pass allows you to reserve your spot in line, but you would still have to wait the length of time except you don't have to wait on the line. You can go on one ride (without using the flash pass) while your other ride is reserved, and when you're done with the first ride it should be your "time" to ride the reserved one. The Gold Flash Pass cuts your wait time down to 75% and it's definitely worth the higher price you pay for it. I've waited about 20 mins tops for a ride, while others wait close to 2 hours. I actually dont know where the regular "entrance" is to Kingda Ka b/c I've always had a Flash Pass so I use that entrance lol The Flash Pass itself is just a little device that lists the Rides you can use it for and it would tell you at what time you can get on it and all you would do is press the Reserve button.. Very simple :) The Gold is much more expensive but defintely worth it!

Both cost a lot of money. If you go there when the lines are shorter, you can save money by not getting a flash pass. When we went there on Halloween, the lines weren't bad at all. Shoot for Sundays through Thursdays when there isn't a school break or school vacation. Kids have to go to school, and parents need to go to work. Fridays and Saturdays are the worst days, especially Saturdays. No matter what day you go, get there at opening time, go straight to the most thrilling rides, and work your way down.

We get them every time we go. It is a device that you keep attached to your belt loop or around your wrist. At the exit to most of the rides is the scan box. You scan your flash pass and it tells you when you can ride your ride. Then you can walk around the park or go on other rides while it "holds your place in line." It basically frees you up to do other things instead of waiting in line and almost never queues you for more than 20 minutes.
