Six Flags New Jersey has 13 roller coasters compared to the 9 roller coasters at Six Flags New England. Six Flags New Jersey also currently hosts the tallest coaster in the world, Kingda Ka, which is 456 feet tall; however, this ride has been closed for much of this season since lightning struck it. The park is currently awaiting the arrival of new parts to repair it, and there is no definite date as to when the ride will re-open. Just to play devil's advocate for Six Flags New England, it's largest coaster, Bizarro (formerly called Superman: Ride of Steel), is currently ranked as the number one steel coaster in the world by Amusement Today, so that might be worth checking out. Hope this information helps.

If you and your girlfriend are into rollercoasters, then although both parks have a couple of good ones, Six Flags Great Adventure (NJ) definitively has more GREAT ones then Six Flags New England. But regardless of which one you go to, you'll have a lot of fun (especially if you haven't been to either one in awhile). If New England is a lot closer and more convenient, then you'd have a great time there. But if both parks are equal distances away from you and there isn't much of a price difference (depending on the deal you get), then I would choose the one in NJ.

New Jersey, they have the talest fastest coaster in the world, and have some other good coasters worth checking out, i would defently pick new jersey over new england.

i have never been to the one in new england, but if you like roller coasters, go to the one in new jersey.

jas-mine.

New jersey has loads more rollercoasters....new england has lots too, but they're more family-based I guess you could say

I have been to both of these parks. It might be a difficult choice, because both of these parks have some good rides. Six Flags Great Adventure is the larger of the two and has more rollercoasters. This park is home to Kingda Ka, the tallest and fastest (won't be fastest much longer) steel coaster. My favorite coaster in this park is Nitro, and be sure to ride in the back seats. El-Toro (wood coaster) is not to be missed. The airtime (weightless feeling) is intense on this ride, and the ride is so smooth that it almost feels more like a steel coaster. Another favorite is Superman: Ultimate Flight, which is a flying coaster. There is much to do here, and two days might be needed. Six Flags New England is a smaller park, but is home to my favorite steel coaster: Superman:Ride of Steel/Bizarro. This ride has won several awards as the best steel coaster. This is the main attraction at this park. Other notable rides are Batman: The Ride, a floorless coaster, Mind Eraser (ow, my ears!), Cyclone, and Thunderbolt. Cyclone and Thunderbolt are both wood coasters. Six Flags New England has some nice flat rides. If you are into rollercoasters and thrill rides, I recommend Six Flags Great Adventure.
